Minor Project - Experimentation

For part of my minor project I'm after using colour film, so I've decided to experiment with exposure to get the colours I'm after, with the sun and weather conditions being a huge factor in my desired results. Not really after taking a digital photograph and then manipulating with software, I'd rather choose the desired exposure myself at the point of taking the image and have a full grasp of the technical side.

At the beginning of the morning with an overcast sky you just end up with a typical Teesside image.
Drab, trite even banal ?

I could see the colours I wanted, but I really want that blue sky to set the colours off.

Do you sacrifice colour for detail? But even then not quite what I'm after.

Then once the sun comes out and you can play around with your exposure, the colours come to life, almost another dimension to the images.

Going to various sites with both digital and film cameras I started to look for colour, but trying to utilise the best light I could - at the time, as you can't always rely on the good british weather with many an early morning wake up call wasted.

Trying to find a balance between the sky I'm after, saturation and detail, this could start to become a personal taste, with people varying their opinions on what is correct or not.
