Low Motivation

One of the first photography books I ever bought.
Was in contact with Ricky quite a lot through emails when I first got a camera 4 years ago, and got a signed print off him when he sent me the book.
It's at times like these when motivation is at it's lowest, confidence way down, sat, can't be arsed, nothing going quite right - you think of jacking it all in, asking yourself why? Why am I doing this, why do I bother, am I any good etc etc.
I get this book out and get right back to basics, sit with my cameras, playing with all the settings taking photos of everything around me, just looking through his images, looking through his website.

I re-read hid Bio, where he started out, what he has achieved, his publications, his passion and tenacity for photography. The people he photographs who keep getting back up.
You start to get that yearn back, you start looking through your own images, you start to enjoy your own images once again.

You start to think of all the projects you want to do and why you haven't done them.
You do them for yourself, because you want to, because you enjoy it.
